Sprouts are very nutritious and a great source of protein. This salad is a power house!! This recipe makes a BIG portion (we were bringing it to family for dinner), depending on the size of portions it could feed 4-10 people.
- 1 cup lentil sprouts
- 1 cup sunflower sprouts
- 1 cup pea sprouts
- 2 cups alfalfa sprouts
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
- 1 avocado in bite size pieces
- 1 cucumber chopped
- 1 red pepper chopped
- 3 heads romaine
- 5-6 drops sesame oil
- 1-2 tbsp Braggs Soy Flavoring
In a salad bowl add all sprouts, add sesame oil and Brags and toss well to ensure kluges are removed form sprouts (alfalfa can get stuck together so best to loosen and toss well). Add remaining ingredients one at a time, and toss after each is added. Add romaine last, followed by final toss.
