Day 2 – Clean(er) Eating Program

Day 2 – Clean(er) Eating Program

Well, I survived Day 1 – Clean(er) Eating Program and I already feel better.  No surprise, really!  Even with one day of the Clean(er) Eating Program and your body will thank you.  Now, let’s imagine how your body will thank you after 12 days of the Clean(er) Eating Program!!  Hmmmm, I can’t wait!!

As usual, I was up at the crack of dawn – can’t really turn off that internal clock even when I’m off work – but I love early mornings so I’m a-ok with that.

I started the day with about 1 litre of water and a cup of green tea. Followed by 3K on the treadmill, another litre of water and shortly thereafter a nice cup of hot lemon water.  Mmmmm I do love hot lemon water on frosty snowy days like today!!

Around 9am I enjoyed a Raspberry Banana Smoothy – one of my favourite combinations is raspberry and banana. YUM!!  The recipe made about 7 cups, close to 2 litres and YES, I drank it all!!

I wasn’t hungry again until early afternoon, 2pm ish at which time I scanned the fridge and remembered that I had a colourful array of sweet bell peppers. I made this Sweet Pepper Salad and it was delicious.  I enjoyed two bowls :-)

It’s a cold one today with another 15cm of snow arriving, so all I could think of was a nice soup for dinner.  I made a very yummy Tomato Vegetable Soup that really hit the spot.  Infact, I had 2 bowls after first making it!! Num Num!!  And then another two bowls at dinner!! HA HA!!

Well that’s it for today….I’m already feeling cleaner with my clean(er) eating and I’m feeling very full and satisfied.  The key is never go hungry. If you are hungry have more salad, have more soup, have more smoothy.  It’s all clean eating (i.e. no nuts, seeds, grains, etc.) so it’s ok to eat again if you get hungry, no reason at all to be hungry. So enjoy your clean(er) eating!

More to follow tomorrow on Day 3….here’s a link to Day 3 – Clean(er) Eating Program!! xox
