This Cleansing Green Smoothie is one of my fav’s! I do love greeny green smoothies and have many green smoothie recipes that I’m sure you will love.

Green Smoothies (vs. fruit based smoothies) will leave you feeling MORE clean, energized & vibrant.

Why?

It’s the greens (vs. fruit) that energize each and every cell in your body! These greener smoothies have more healing & cleansing powers! Your body will LOVE these nutricious gems!

Oh and they taste oh-so YUMMY too!

Makes 1.5 litres

  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 cucumber, chopped
  • 3 large stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 broccoli stalk, chopped
  • 2 inches ginger, peeled
  • 1 lemon, peel removed
  • 3 big handfuls spinach

Add all ingredients to the blender.  Blend on low speed and gradually increase speed.  Blend on high until smooth and frothy.

NOTE:  If you are new to GREEN smoothies add 1 more lemon – the lemons help to “cut” the green flavour! Spinach is very mild tasting and perfect for those who are new to GREEN smoothies – if you are looking for something even GREENer, use Kale instead of spinach!

    Do you have any breakfast smoothies for someone dealing with acid reflux?

    1. Hi Doris – I’m not a medical professional, so all I can speak to is my experience and how I have helped others. With acid reflux I would suggest limiting the fruit content and going for more green based smoothies with a little ground flaxseed or hempseed added. I hope that helps. xox Cat

    can you use frozen spinach for this smoothie??

    1. Hi there – I’ve never used frozen spinach myself, but I’m sure it would work. Myself, I think fresh is always better but sometimes you just have to use what you have on hand to get green goodness 🙂 xox

    I haven’t dared try the FULL GREEN MONTE YET. Maybe I need to get my butt in gear! xx

    1. You go girl!! You’ll love it…. lemon is the key to cut the “green” and adding an apple or pear will also help. I find it’s amazing how much “cleaner” it feels with the green smoothies… you’ll get addicted for sure! xox
