Spring Mix Smoothy

A wonderfully sunny spring weekend morning calls for a wonderful melody of yummy fruits & vegetables for today’s smoothy! Β My morning vitamin pill in a glass πŸ™‚

  • 2-3 cups water (or coconut water)
  • 1 banana (I used frozen already peeled from the freezer)
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 brocoli stem
  • 2-3 handfuls of romaine mix

Peel banana, orange & lemon – but remember to keep a bit of the ‘white’ on the lemon/orange. Β Cut all fruits & veggies into chunks (it’s easier on the blender and ensures more consistent blending and prevents over processing of individual ingredients) and add the higher water content fruits & veggies first. Β Blend until smooth, and serve.
