Hi there – I’m Catherine, the owner & creator of ‘Almost Raw’ Vegan. I’m here to show you how ‘almost raw’ vegan eats can transform your health & wellness! What makes me the expert? I transformed my own health & wellness back in 2007, and soon after, in 2011 I started sharing my adventures & inspirations on my blog. I have to tell you, I was (and still am) completely overwhelmed by how many kindred spirits I met. I had found my calling! I just loved sharing & inspiring others – and that in turn inspired me to learn more. I studied at Cornell University and received a Plant-Based Certification and I also took raw vegan / plant-based chef training! I loved learning, I loved sharing, I loved inspiring others! Fast forward to today and I have helped hundreds of thousands people to transform their own health & wellness with my 3-STEP Approach!
Let me take you back to the beginning.
My transformation started back 2007 after a lot of trial and error, experimentation and lots of research, reading and you name it, I read/researched it! After all that, I landed on an ‘Almost Raw’ Vegan diet, which changed RAWk’d my world! The pounds melted off, my energy soared, my complexion glowed, the brain fog was lifted and I felt better than EVER before! Since then I have never looked back.
All through my teens, my 20s, 30s and early into my 40s I always struggled with bouts of feeling depressed, lethargic, intolerant to certain foods, weight fluctuations and more. In a nutshell I had ups and downs and hated that my moods were not consistent. Some days I felt like a million bucks, other days I couldn’t even get out of bed.
In 2007 I (finally!) made the connection between the food that I ate and my mood. I hit rock bottom in 2007 (oh, and it happened at my birthday party!) and the connection was undeniable. After that day, I experimented with various diets and to make a long story short, I created an ‘Almost Raw’ Vegan approach, which for me was a god sent!
Eating ‘Almost Raw’ Vegan ended my lethargy, ended my food intolerances, ended my grumpiness, ended my weight fluctuations and left me lighter and feeling more positive & energized than EVER before. I also landed an amazing glowing complexion, brighter eyes, clarity of mind and a whole lot more.
I felt better than I had EVER felt in my entire life! Yup, my entire life!
I was so excited by my new found ‘Almost Raw’ Vegan approach that I just had to tell the world.
Even if I were to help just one person, that would be enough for me.
I simply felt compelled to share my story, my discovery, my experiences with others, in hopes that people like you would discover that an ‘Almost Raw’ Vegan diet is healing and energizing beyond words!
I started this blog back in 2011 and I was overwhelmed by the positive response, and to learn that there were so many like-minded people who had similar stories. I was in heaven… sharing, helping, guiding and mostly watching my followers get the same results I did (ok, but by following my 3-Step Approach to becoming ‘almost raw’ vegan for LIFE, they were able to skip all the trial and error frustrations 😉 )
Fast forward to today…. and I am in complete aww about the continued growth of Almost Raw Vegan followers and the number of kindred spirits I have met and helped over the years. I have helped hundreds of thousands to improve their health and wellness and I feel completely blessed and honoured that you have all invited me into your kitchen 😉
Ultimately….I’m here for one reason, and one reason only – I hope my experiences, my journey will inspire you to adopt an easy-peasy approach to plant-based eating, with my ‘Almost Raw’ Vegan approach, so you too can experience the same amazing benefits that I did ~ I want you to look & feel your best! ♡♡
